Privacy policy

Last updated: August 2026

This privacy policy explains what information InsuranceCalc UK (operated by Quicksolve Digital Ltd) collects when you use our website, and how that information is used.

What we collect

We don't collect personal data directly. We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information to use our calculators. All calculator inputs (breed, age, postcode area, vehicle type, etc.) are processed in your browser and never sent to our servers.

We don't have user accounts, login systems, or registration forms. You don't need to sign up to use any tool on this site.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use the following third-party services that set cookies on your device:

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site: which pages are visited, how long people stay, which calculators are used most, and which devices people browse on. GA4 collects anonymised usage data including your IP address (which Google anonymises), browser type, device type, pages visited, and referral source.

GA4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish between visitors. These cookies don't contain personal information. Data is retained for 14 months and then automatically deleted.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense

We display adverts through Google AdSense to fund the operation of this website. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. This is called personalised advertising.

Google uses the DoubleClick cookie and similar technologies to select and serve ads that it believes are relevant to you. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

For more information on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, visit: How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.

Third-party disclosure

We don't sell, trade, or transfer your information to outside parties. The only third parties that receive any data from your visit are Google (through Analytics and AdSense as described above). We don't use any other tracking services, social media pixels, or remarketing tools.

Data processed in your browser

When you use our calculators, all processing happens locally in your web browser. Your inputs (breed, age, postcode area, vehicle type, etc.) are never transmitted to our servers or any third party. We can't see what you typed into the calculator, and we don't store your results.

Web beacons and similar technologies

Google AdSense and Google Analytics may use web beacons (small transparent images) and similar technologies to track page views and ad impressions. These work alongside cookies to measure site usage and ad performance.

IP addresses

Your IP address is collected by Google Analytics and Google AdSense when you visit this site. Google Analytics anonymises IP addresses before storage. Google AdSense uses IP addresses for geographic targeting of advertisements and fraud prevention.

Data retention

We don't store any personal data ourselves. Google Analytics retains anonymised usage data for 14 months. Google AdSense cookie data is retained according to Google's own retention policies, which you can review in their privacy policy.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data held about you. Since we don't collect personal data directly, these rights primarily relate to the data held by Google through Analytics and AdSense. You can exercise control over Google's data collection through the opt-out mechanisms listed above.

Cookie consent

When you first visit this site, you'll see a cookie consent banner. Non-essential cookies (Analytics and AdSense) are only activated after you give consent, in compliance with UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations). If you decline cookies, the site functions normally without Analytics or personalised advertising.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. We won't reduce your rights under this policy without clear notice.
